The Project Quality Plan is part of the Project Initiation Document. The purpose is to define the quality techniques and standards to be applied, and the various responsibilities for achieving the required quality levels, during the project.
The Project Quality Plan is produced as an output from Planning Quality (IP1) The Project Quality Plan is derived from the Customer’s Quality Expectations, Acceptance Criteria, Organisational standards, Project Approach, Project Brief, Supplier and customer quality management systems (QMS), Configuration management requirements and Change control requirements.
Ensure that the Project Quality Plan conforms to corporate quality policy and clearly defines the ways in which the customer’s quality expectations will be met. Also ensure that responsibilities for quality are defined up to a level that is independent of the project and PM ad that the defined ways are sufficient to achieve the required quality.
