A generic term for any matter that has to be brought to the attention of the project team and requires an answer. After receiving a unique reference number, Project Issues are evaluated in terms of impact on the product, effort and cost, risks, Project Plan and Business Case. The PM may make a decision on what action to take or the Project Issue may be referred to the Project Board. A Project Issue may have a negative impact on the project.
